How do I pay for Titans classes?

We accept cash, cheques, credit and debit. Cheques should be payable to Toronto Cheer Athletics. Please note that you will be charged an additional $30 NSF fee for any bounced cheques.

Shortly after registration your child will recieve a TCA Program Tshirt, this shirt or any other TCA branded gear is acceptable practice attire. Bottoms should be unrestrictive and allow for full range of motion.
Indoor soft soled running shoes must be worn as well. Once registered we will also do a group order for proper cheer shoes for those needing them.
*** NOTE: We do not allow sports bras to be worn as tops in our gym, a tshirt or tank is to be worn on top. ***

Are your classes insured?

Yes. Registration fees include insurance for your child, insurance not only covers your child in the gym but also at community events and competitions.

What are your term dates?

Our Summer Training, Evaluations and Registration begin in early June. We train Sundays and Tuesdays year round. Cut off for competitive registration is October 1st, unless the athlete has previous expreience and can meet the skill requirement for their desired team. Otherwise the athlete may join the rec program, and may be called up to a competitive team if and when they attain the required skills.

Are your teachers qualified?

Yes, apart from holding various Cheerleading specific qualifications, ACCAA, USASF and Respect In Sport, amoung our staff are also NCCP Gymnastic certified coaches, Early Childhood Educators, and all staff are First Aid and CPR-C certified.

Can we still join your classes after the term has started?

Yes. Depending on the athletes skill level they will either be offered a place on a competitive team or if they are not yet ready for that, a place in the rec program until they have built their skills to the level required for their desired team.

Can parents watch?

The gym has a small viewing window in the lobby that parents are welcome to view from. Periodically we will invite parents in to see what we are working on and progress that has been made. Please note that parents are not required to remain on site.

What is your ratio of children to coaches?

All of our teams have two regular coaches. For larger teams (more than 12) we will enlist the help of Senior Athletes/ Coaches In Training, durring times of the year when new skills are being worked on and more spotting is required.
